The New Nets Project, funded by UNITAID, aims to establish the necessary evidence base to support appropriate policy recommendations for new classes of insecticide treated nets.
Two Randomised Controlled Trials of new classes of nets are being conducted in Benin and Tanzania, adjacent to the ESSENTIALs study sites. In Burkina Faso, the cost-effectiveness of these new net classes under operational conditions is being evaluated using routinely collected epidemiological data.
