Imperial College London

The Department of Infectious Disease Epidemiology at Imperial College London focuses on the transmission, evolution and control of infectious diseases in human and animal populations. We have particular strengths in epidemiological and genetic analysis and mathematical modelling, backed by focussed field and experimental research.

Dr Tom Churcher is an Epidemiologist, entomologist and mathematical modeller working to understand the best way to kill mosquitoes and eliminate vector-borne diseases through targeting transmission. Tom is the Imperial College Lead investigator responsible for coordinating collection of clinical and epidemiological data from linked randomised control trials and pilot deployments as well as being responsible for defining parameters required for mathematical models and subsequent use of transmission models in study.

Dr Ben Lambert Ben is a researcher who uses statistical, computational, and mathematical techniques to try to better understand phenomena in epidemiology (particularly malaria and HIV), biology, and evolution.
